Our Story
Why FLUSK Exists
Every morning, the same quiet ritual plays out across thousands of offices. A queue. A paper cup. A drink that was good once, but is now just caffeine delivered in a hurry. The cup is used for twelve minutes and then it is gone - one of the forty billion disposable cups thrown away each year, most of them never recycled, most of them never thought about again.
We started FLUSK because we believe a great drink and a clear conscience should not be separate things. The best part of your morning should not leave behind the worst part of someone else's afternoon - a bin overflowing, a landfill growing, a forest that was never asked whether it minded.
A flask is a small object. But a flask that is used every day, for years, by thousands of people, is no longer small. It is a quiet revolution against the idea that convenience must cost the earth. It is a daily refusal to throw something away.
We chose the reusable flask not because it is trendy, but because it is honest. It does not pretend. It does not compost in a facility that does not exist. It simply holds your drink, and then it holds your drink again tomorrow, and the day after that, and the year after that.
But a flask alone is not enough. The drink inside it has to be worth keeping. So we built our menu around specialty coffee - beans chosen for their character, roasted in small batches, brewed by people who care about the craft. A drink you would order even if no one was watching, even if there was no planet to save.
Then we asked a harder question: why should anyone have to leave their desk to get it? The best morning routine is the one that simply happens. So we bring the drink to you - to your floor, your building, your desk - at the time you actually want it, in the flask that is already yours.
Delivery is not a luxury. It is the thing that makes reuse possible. A flask you have to carry home, rinse, and remember tomorrow is a flask you will abandon by Friday. A flask that travels with your drink, comes back empty, and returns full is a flask that lasts - and that is the only kind of flask worth making.
We are often asked whether this scales. Whether a few thousand office workers reusing flasks can matter against the sheer weight of the disposable economy. Our answer is that every habit begins somewhere, and the habit of reuse, once formed, does not stop at the office door. It follows people home, into their kitchens, into the choices they make for the rest of their lives.
We do not pretend to have solved everything. Our flasks are made, transported, and eventually retired. Our supply chain is not perfect. But we believe in honest progress over perfect silence - in doing the best we can today and being transparent about the distance still left to travel.
What we are building is not a coffee company. It is a daily practice. A small, repeated choice that says: this morning can be better, and the morning after that can be better still - for the person drinking, for the people who grew the beans, and for the place that will still be here when the cup is long forgotten.
This is why FLUSK exists. Not to sell you another cup, but to give you a reason to never need one again.
